On April 2nd, the Indian stock market witnessed significant movements, with notable gainers and losers shaping the trading session. Among the top gainers, Kalyan Jewellers led the rally, surging 11.58% to close at ₹511.10, backed by a strong trading volume of 38.54 million shares. TATA Consumer Products followed, rising 7.1% to ₹1,062.70, while Macrotech Developers and Godrej Properties saw gains of 5.29% and 5.16%, respectively. On the flip side, Bharat Electronics topped the list of losers, dropping 3.29% to ₹282.40, despite a high trading volume of 52.65 million shares. MM Financial and RBL Bank both declined by 2.79%, closing at ₹268.65 and ₹171.33, respectively. CG Consumer also struggled, falling 1.82% to ₹339.30.
