Zydus Lifesciences has signed an MoU with Apollo Hospitals to expand access to the Shield™ Multi-Cancer Detection (MCD) blood test across India, in collaboration with Guardant Health. 📌 Key Highlights ✅ Strategic Healthcare Collaboration Zydus has partnered with Apollo Hospitals to offer the Shield™ Multi-Cancer Detection (MCD) test in India. The technology is developed by Guardant Health and will be commercially expanded through this collaboration. ✅ Blood Test for Early Cancer Detection A simple blood test that screens for 10 common cancers, including breast, lung, colorectal, liver, pancreatic, ovarian, bladder, prostate, gastric, and oesophageal cancers. Intended for individuals aged 45 years and above at average risk of cancer. ✅ Advanced Screening Technology Uses methylation-based analysis to detect cancer-associated signals from a single blood sample. The test has received U.S. FDA Breakthrough Device Designation, recognizing its potential to improve cancer screening.
