and France's EDF to form renewables joint venture

will form a joint venture with EDF India to establish renewable power plants, including pumped-storage hydropower projects, in South Asia. EDF and NTPC have also signed an agreement to develop hydropower projects and explore power distribution opportunities within India and its neighboring countries.
