and South Korea's Posco Group established a 50:50 joint venture, Saffron Resources, for a 6 million tonnes per annum integrated steel plant in Odisha. The project will utilize 887 acres of land and is expected to be completed by December 31, 2026. This marks Posco's return to India after earlier setbacks and will boost JSW Steel's domestic manufacturing footprint.
