The Nifty PSE Index (Public Sector Enterprises) comprises 20 companies listed on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) where at least 51% of the outstanding share capital is held by the Central Government and/or State Government, either directly or indirectly. The index is designed to track the performance of key public sector enterprises in India.
