*Clean Energy - Nuclear 100 GW Roadmap* India plans to develop a road map under the Nuclear Energy Mission to reach 100 GW of nuclear power capacity by March-end. The committee will explore the joint development of nuclear energy projects to accelerate growth. The road map will specify financing models, site selection criteria, and capacity addition targets. At least five indigenous small modular reactors (SMRs) are planned to be developed by 2033. NTPC will invest around ₹3-4 lakh crore in nuclear energy projects over next 20+years.
