State Bank of India continues to show a strong fundamental picture, with Q1 FY27 standalone net profit rising 10.2% YoY to ₹21,121 crore, while Net Interest Income (NII) increased around 14.9% to ₹46,992 crore, supported by strong loan growth. SBI’s total business crossed ₹110 lakh crore, with advances growing 18.6% YoY to ₹50.47 lakh crore, while deposits increased 9.7% to ₹60.06 lakh crore; growth was broad-based across retail, agriculture, SME and corporate segments. Asset quality has improved significantly, with GNPA declining to 1.47% from 1.83% YoY and NNPA improving to 0.38% from 0.47%, while credit cost reduced to 0.27%, indicating better control over bad loans. Domestic NIM stood at around 3%, and management has guided for approximately 3% NIM for FY27, although pressure on margins remains a factor to monitor.
