breaks new ground with landmark ₹900 Crore Power Transformers order from Tallgrass

CG Power and Industrial Solutions Limited, a leading engineering conglomerate and part of the Murugappa Group, has secured its largest-ever order worth ~₹900 crore ($99.2M) from Tallgrass Integrated Logistics Solutions LLC, USA, for power transformers tailored to hyperscale data center applications. This strategic milestone marks CG’s entry into the global data center segment, aligning with the growing demand for cloud computing, AI, and digital infrastructure. The transformers will be designed and manufactured at CG’s advanced facilities in India and delivered over 12-20 months. With 18 manufacturing units across India and Sweden, CG specializes in industrial and power systems, consumer appliances, and semiconductor solutions, and reported consolidated revenue of ₹9,909 crore for FY25. The Murugappa Group, a 125-year-old conglomerate, supports CG’s innovation and sustainability-driven growth.
