G R Infraprojects Ltd. has received a letter from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) declaring the appointed date as September 7, 2026 for its ₹4,262.78 crore Agra-Gwalior Greenfield Road project. The company received the communication from NHAI on September 18, 2026. The project involves the development of a six-lane, access-controlled greenfield highway connecting Deori near Agra in Uttar Pradesh to Susera near Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh. The greenfield section will cover approximately 88.4 km and pass through Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. The project also includes overlay, strengthening, road-safety and improvement works on the existing Agra-Gwalior section of NH-44, covering the specified stretch between km 1058 and km 1148. The project is being developed under the Design-Build-Finance-Operate-Transfer (DBFOT) structure in BOT (Toll) mode under the National Highways (Original) scheme. The overall estimated project cost is ₹4,262.78 crore. The appointed date is an important contractual milestone because it formally moves the project into its execution phase. The construction period is scheduled for 910 days from the appointed date.
