Grasim Industries Q1 FY27 Net Profit Rises 12% on Cement and Chemicals Strength

$GRASIM Grasim Industries Ltd., the Aditya Birla Group flagship, posted a 12% year‑on‑year rise in consolidated net profit to ₹3,050 crore in Q1 FY27, compared to ₹2,720 crore in the same quarter last year. Revenue grew 9% to ₹32,800 crore, driven by strong demand in its UltraTech Cement subsidiary, which saw volumes increase 11% YoY thanks to infrastructure and housing sector growth. The chemicals division also contributed significantly, with EBITDA margins expanding by 180 basis points due to cost efficiencies and steady global demand for viscose staple fibre. Grasim reaffirmed its aggressive push into the paints business, where it has already invested over ₹10,000 crore and expects commercial rollout in FY27. Management highlighted that this diversification will create a new growth engine alongside cement and chemicals.
