On December 22, 2025, HCLSoftware, the software division of HCLTech, announced its intent to acquire Jaspersoft, a business unit of Cloud Software Group specializing in embedded analytics and pixel-perfect reporting platforms, for $240 million in a 100% cash deal structured as an asset carve-out. The acquisition aims to enhance HCLSoftware’s Data & AI division (Actian) by integrating Jaspersoft’s capabilities, addressing growing demand for metadata management, data catalog, and data governance solutions, and accelerating the Agentic Business Intelligence roadmap for customers. Jaspersoft’s expertise in business intelligence software, particularly in regulated industries like government and financial services, will complement Actian’s offerings. The acquisition, subject to regulatory approvals including CFIUS, is expected to close within six months, with approximately 115 Jaspersoft employees transitioning to HCLSoftware
