Sigma Secures ₹1,600 Cr Rolls-Royce Deal

SIGMAADV
Sigma Advanced Systems has secured an additional long-term agreement worth nearly £125 million, or around ₹1,600 crore, with Rolls-Royce Aerospace UK. The contract will be executed through its recently acquired UK subsidiary, Bromford Precision Solutions, and covers the manufacture of aero-engine rings, casings, lock plates and other critical engine structures across facilities in India and the UK. In my view, the significance of this deal goes beyond its ₹1,600 crore value. The agreement builds on Sigma's earlier Rolls-Royce contract worth around £300 million, strengthening its relationship with a global aerospace OEM and expanding its role within the aerospace supply chain. The Bromford acquisition also appears to be delivering strategic value by adding specialised manufacturing capabilities and allowing Sigma to offer a broader range of complex components. The key advantage for Sigma is the potential for long-term revenue visibility and deeper participation in high-value aerospace programmes. However, investors should monitor execution across its India and UK operations, capacity utilisation, margins and how effectively the acquired capabilities are integrated. Overall, the new agreement is a positive strategic development that strengthens Sigma's aerospace manufacturing platform and could support its long-term growth through deeper global OEM relationships.
