Waaree Energies Secures 2 GW Solar Module Order

Waaree Energies Ltd. has received an order from a leading domestic solar developer for the supply of 2 GW of solar modules. The company received the order on September 21, 2026, and disclosed the development through a regulatory filing. According to the company, the customer is a renowned solar developer and the order has been awarded by a domestic entity. The name of the customer and the financial value of the order have not been disclosed. The one-time order covers the supply of 2 GW of solar modules, with deliveries scheduled across FY2026-27 and FY2027-28. This means the execution of the order will be spread over two financial years rather than being completed immediately. Waaree Energies has also clarified that the transaction does not involve any interest of its promoter, promoter group or group companies and does not fall under the related-party transaction framework. The order comes as Waaree continues to expand its solar manufacturing operations and build its order pipeline. The company operates across solar module manufacturing, EPC and other clean-energy businesses. Its module manufacturing capacity had reached approximately 25.8 GW by September 2026. The two-year delivery schedule provides the company with visibility for future module sales, although the absence of a disclosed order value means the exact revenue and margin contribution from this contract cannot yet be determined.
