BSE: TO EXPLORE LAUNCH OF MSCI-LINKED DERIVATIVES IN INDIA
BSE
BSE has entered into an agreement with MSCI for a number of its indices.
BSE will explore launching futures and options contracts in India linked to MSCI indices, subject to regulatory approvals.
MSCI indices are among the world’s most tracked benchmarks, linked to over $21 trillion in AUM as of December 31, 2025.
The proposed derivatives could provide investors an additional avenue to access and hedge exposure to Indian markets.
The move could help BSE broaden its derivatives product portfolio and strengthen its position in India’s capital markets.
Impact: Positive for BSE — potential to attract institutional participation and increase derivatives volumes over the longer term.
