ZYDUS LIFESCIENCES: POSITIVE PHASE II(b) RESULTS FOR SAROGLITAZAR Mg IN MASH

Zydus Lifesciences has announced positive topline results from its completed EVIDENCES-X Phase II(b) global clinical trial of Saroglitazar Magnesium in MASH patients with fibrosis. The trial successfully met its primary endpoint, demonstrating resolution of steatohepatitis without worsening of fibrosis. At Week 52, 26.5% of patients receiving Saroglitazar 4 mg achieved the primary endpoint. The study also met key secondary endpoints, showing improvements in liver histology parameters, steatosis, inflammation and ballooning. The trial enrolled 189 patients across the US, Turkey and Argentina, adding further clinical evidence for Saroglitazar Magnesium in MASH.
