NCDEX Gets SEBI Nod for Mutual Fund Platform — Opening Investment Access to Rural India

Rural investment access expands The National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX) has received **in-principle approval from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) to launch a Mutual Fund transaction platform. This new platform will allow investors to subscribe to and redeem mutual fund units through an exchange-operated interface, with clearing and settlement managed by National Commodity Clearing Ltd (NCCL), a wholly owned NCDEX subsidiary. NCDEX This initiative is a strategic precursor to NCDEX’s planned entry into the equity and equity derivatives markets, expanding its role from a commodity derivatives exchange toward a multi-asset exchange platform.
