🚀 PTC Industries Joins Hands with Bharat Dynamics to Power India’s Next-Gen Missile Engines

Imagine titanium-melt furnaces glowing in Lucknow as a new generation of propulsion technology takes shape—a step closer to India designing its own missile engines instead of importing them. On October 19, 2025, PTC Industries Limited

PTCIL
and Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL)
BDL
signed an MoU to create a joint venture dedicated to the design, development, and manufacture of advanced propulsion systems and aero-engines for missiles, UAVs, and loitering munitions. The JV aims to build end-to-end capability within India’s borders—from liquid and solid rocket motors to ramjet and turbojet engines—reducing the need for critical imports. PTC brings its deep expertise in metallurgical technology and precision manufacturing, while BDL contributes decades of operational experience in guided weapon systems. The collaboration was formalized at PTC’s newly inaugurated Titanium & Superalloys Materials Plant in Lucknow, attended by Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh and UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The alliance aligns perfectly with Aatmanirbhar Bharat, creating a domestic “design-to-delivery” ecosystem for India’s evolving aerospace and defense needs. It also supports DRDO and Indian Armed Forces programs aiming for indigenous propulsion and flight systems. For Indian defense manufacturing, this marks a historic pivot—from assembling imported engines to producing fully indigenous propulsion units ready for India’s missile and drone fleets For the lone market watcher, this is more than a business deal—it’s the spark of India’s propulsion self-reliance, igniting industries built not just to assemble machines, but to chase the sky. 📌 Learning Takeaway: PTC Industries and Bharat Dynamics form a joint venture to co-develop advanced propulsion systems, missiles, and UAV aero-engines under Make in India.
