Amitava Mukherjee Appointed as Chairman & Managing Director of NMDC Limited.

In a significant leadership move, the Ministry of Steel, Government of India, has appointed Shri Amitava Mukherjee (DIN: 08265207) as the Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of NMDC Limited. As per Order No. 3/2/2021-BLA-Part (2) dated March 6, 2025, he assumes the role from the same date and will serve until his superannuation on February 29, 2028, or until further orders. With an extensive background in the mining and steel industry, Mukherjee’s leadership is expected to drive NMDC’s growth and innovation in the sector. His appointment marks a crucial phase for India's largest iron ore producer as it continues to expand operations and contribute to the country’s industrial progress.
