BANDHAN BANK: SELLS ₹3,212 CRORE MICROFINANCE NPAs TO ARCIL FOR CLEAN-UP

Bandhan Bank sold ₹3,212 crore of stressed microfinance loans to ARCIL for ₹578 crore following a Swiss-challenge process. The move aims to ease pressure on the bank’s asset quality and improve provisioning metrics. The bank has initiated the process to sell an additional ₹3,720 crore of loans. The sale at ~18 percent of book value reflects the stress in the MFI segment but improves future earnings visibility.
