NTPC and EDF India have signed an agreement to collaborate on hydro and pumped storage projects.

NTPC Limited, a Maharatna company of India, and EDF India Private Limited, a subsidiary of French multinational electric utility Électricité de France SA, have signed a non-binding Term Sheet to collaborate on the development, construction, ownership, operation, and maintenance of pumped storage and other hydro power projects. The partnership also aims to explore opportunities in hydro projects bundled with renewable energy and the distribution business.
