Dixon Tech unit signs IP licensing deal with Aviat
Dixon Technologies’ subsidiary / joint venture -- Dixon Electro Appliances (DEAPL) has entered into an intellectual property license agreement with Aviat Networks (India) (Aviat) on September 30, 2026. Under the Agreement, Aviat has granted DEAPL a limited license to use specified intellectual property, including technical know-how, solely for the manufacture, use, offer for sale and sale of microwave radios, on the terms and conditions as per the agreement.
Impact : The collaboration aims to scale DEAPL's electronics manufacturing footprint, build advanced telecom infrastructure capabilities in India, and support a localized domestic supply chain.
View : The fact that Dixon's stock price barely fluctuated implies that institutional investors view this as a foundational infrastructure play rather than an instant earnings booster. The ultimate success of the deal will depend on how quickly DEAPL can commercialize and scale production lines to fulfill domestic procurement contracts.
Disclosure : I do not hold any position in the mentioned stock.
