Airtel-Tata Play Merger Talks Underway

Bharti Airtel has confirmed discussions with Tata Group to merge Tata Play's DTH business with Bharti Telemedia. The deal, likely structured as a merger swap, could give Airtel a majority stake and access to 20 million Tata Play subscribers. Valued at around ₹7,000 crore, the merged entity may be led by Airtel’s senior management.
