Gig Workers Call 5-Hour Nationwide Shutdown Over Fuel Price Hike

The Gig & Platform Service Workers Union (GIPSWU) has called for a nationwide strike from 12 pm to 5 pm on Saturday after petrol and diesel prices were raised by Rs 3 per litre. Cab drivers and delivery workers linked to app-based platforms are demanding better payouts and relief from rising fuel costs.
