Indian Rupee Hits Record Low Amid US Tariff Concerns
On February 10, the Indian rupee hit a record low of 87.9563 against the US dollar, down from 87.4275 in the previous session, following US President Donald Trump’s announcement of 25% tariffs on steel and aluminum imports. The dollar index rose to 108.336. Earlier, RBI’s 25 bps rate cut provided limited relief to the currency.
