📰 Adani Enterprises Launches ₹25,000 Crore Rights Issue to Strengthen Balance Sheet and Fund Infra Growth

Adani Enterprises Ltd (AEL), the flagship of the Gautam Adani Group, has announced a ₹25,000 crore rights issue, aimed at bolstering its balance sheet and funding expansion across airports, roads, and new-energy businesses. “This issue will strengthen AEL’s balance sheet for the next phase of incubation while allowing existing shareholders to participate in the growth story of our core infrastructure and energy transition assets,” said Robbie Singh, Chief Financial Officer, during the company’s earnings call. Singh explained that the proceeds will be primarily used to convert existing shareholder loans into equity and to fund new growth initiatives. “The family shareholders are comfortable participating in the issue rather than seeking loan repayment. This effectively converts shareholder loans into equity,” he said. AEL’s total capex for FY26 is projected at ₹36,000 crore, up from ₹16,300 crore in H1FY26. Allocation includes ₹10,500 crore for airports, ₹6,000 crore for roads, ₹9,000 crore for petrochemicals and materials, ₹3,500 crore for metals and mining, and ₹5,500 crore for Adani New Industries. In the airport segment, Adani Airports is gearing up to commence commercial operations at Navi Mumbai Airport this quarter, alongside a new terminal in Guwahati later this fiscal. CEO Arun Bansal confirmed that Phase 2 of Navi Mumbai’s expansion will begin soon, citing robust demand exceeding 20 million passengers. “Over the next five years, Adani Enterprises is in a deep investment phase,” Singh said. “This rights issue ensures that our balance sheet and capital structure are ready for the next decade of growth.” #AdaniEnterprises #RightsIssue #GautamAdani #InfrastructureGrowth #AdaniGroup #Airports #NaviMumbaiAirport #EnergyTransition #CapitalRaise #AdaniNewIndustries #RoadProjects #MakeInIndia #DebtReduction #CorporateFinance #IndianMarkets
