Aurobindo Pharma Reports Fire at Andhra Pradesh Unit; No Casualties, Minimal Impact
Aurobindo Pharma on Friday said a fire accident at Unit-IV of its arm APL Healthcare Ltd in Naidupeta, Andhra Pradesh, caused temporary production disruption. The incident occurred on September 18 around 8:50 am due to a short circuit in granulation area-10, spreading to a panel and partially damaging granulation area-8. Out of 19 lines in the unit, 2 were impacted and will take about two weeks to resume. The fire was swiftly controlled by the in-house fire team with external support, and the company confirmed no casualties or injuries.
