🔷 BHEL, PB Fintech Rally on Strong Q2 Results; Ixigo Crashes 20% After Reporting Loss
Shares of Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) and PB Fintech gained up to 3–5% on Thursday after reporting robust September-quarter results, while travel-tech platform Ixigo hit the 20% lower circuit following a quarterly loss. BHEL jumped nearly 4% to ₹255.34 on the NSE after the state-run engineering major reported a threefold surge in consolidated net profit to ₹374.89 crore for Q2FY25, compared to ₹106.15 crore a year earlier. Revenue rose to ₹7,686 crore, up from ₹6,695 crore YoY. Brokerages maintained mixed views — CLSA highlighted the revival of fossil orders as a positive, while Investec cautioned about execution challenges despite strong EBITDA performance. According to LSEG data, BHEL carries an average “Hold” rating with a median price target of ₹245. PB Fintech, the parent company of Policybazaar, surged 5.3% to ₹1,814 after quarterly profit more than doubled, backed by strong growth in its insurance broking business. Revenue jumped 38% YoY, led by a 43% rise in insurance segment income. HSBC reiterated its Buy call with a target of ₹2,250, while Morgan Stanley warned of potential near-term profit impact from GST 2.0 and RBI lending restrictions. As per LSEG, analysts have an overall “Hold” rating with a median target of ₹1,952.5. Meanwhile, Ixigo (Le Travenues Technology Ltd) hit the 20% lower circuit after posting a net loss of ₹3.46 crore for Q2FY25, against a profit of ₹130.85 crore YoY. The company incurred a one-time ESOP expense of ₹26.7 crore, though revenue climbed 37% YoY to ₹282.7 crore.
