Defence Stocks Surge Amid Global Tensions, Nifty India Defence Index Rises Again
On June 3, defence stocks outperformed the broader market for the second straight day, with the Nifty India Defence index rising 1.6% to around 8,833 amid global geopolitical tensions. While Sensex and Nifty slipped 0.4%, Cochin Shipyard led gains with a 5% jump. GRSE and BEML rose ~4%, while Astra Microwave, Solar Industries, Midhani, DCX India, and Mazagon Dock gained over 2%.
