ICICI Bank Shares Gain After Impressive Q4 Results; Brokerages Raise Targets

Shares of ICICI Bank, India’s second-largest private sector lender, rose by nearly 2% on April 21 after the bank posted stronger-than-expected earnings for Q4 FY2025. The stock later trimmed some gains, trading at ₹1,419.20 on the NSE, up 0.9% by 9:28 AM. Driven by robust profitability, the bank reported a standalone net profit of ₹12,629.58 crore, marking an 18% YoY and 7.1% QoQ increase. Key metrics also improved, with Net Interest Income (NII) growing 11% YoY to ₹21,193 crore and the Net Interest Margin (NIM) rising to 4.41%, up from 4.25% in the previous quarter. The bank also made notable progress on asset quality. Its gross NPA ratio dropped to 1.67%, down from 1.96% in Q3 and 2.16% a year ago. What should investors do?
