Indian Textile Stocks Fall After US–Bangladesh Trade Deal Announcement
Shares of Indian textile companies declined on February 10 after the United States and Bangladesh announced the conclusion of a reciprocal trade agreement, dampening sentiment that had earlier turned positive on the back of the India–US trade framework. Gokaldas Exports fell over 5% to ₹796.45, while KPR Mill and Arvind dropped more than 4% each. Pearl Global Industries declined over 3.5%. The move came as the overall US tariff on Bangladeshi exports was reduced to 19%, only slightly higher than India’s 18%, narrowing India’s relative advantage. #TextileStocks #TradeDeal #IndiaUS #USBangladesh #MarketUpdate
