LIC Q4 Net Profit Jumps 38% to ₹19,013 Cr; Final Dividend ₹12/Share
Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) reported a 38% rise in Q4 net profit to ₹19,013 crore (vs ₹13,763 crore YoY), despite a 3.7% drop in total income to ₹2.41 lakh crore. The board recommended a final dividend of ₹12 per share. Key highlights: Policyholder bonus: ₹56,190 crore Value of New Business (VNB): ₹10,011 crore (+4.47% YoY); VNB margin: 17.6% (+80 bps) Non-Par APE: ₹10,581 crore (+50.3% YoY); Share in individual APE: 27.7% (+937 bps) Expense ratio: 12.42% (down 315 bps YoY) Indian Embedded Value (IEV): ₹7.77 lakh crore (+6.8% YoY) Assets Under Management (AUM): ₹54.5 lakh crore (+6.45% YoY) Solvency ratio: 2.11 (vs 1.98 YoY) FY25 PAT: ₹48,151 crore (+18.4% YoY); Individual new business premium: ₹62,495 crore (+8.3%) LIC’s improved margins, higher profitability, and better solvency indicate continued financial strength and growth momentum.
