Maruti Suzuki Crosses 1.65 Lakh Navratri Deliveries, Eyes 2 Lakh Units This Festive Season

Maruti Suzuki India has reported record-breaking festive momentum, delivering 1.65 lakh vehicles in the first eight days of Navratri — the first time in a decade that deliveries crossed the one-lakh mark during the period, said Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer, Marketing & Sales. The automaker expects total festive season deliveries to touch 2 lakh units. September retail sales rose 27.5% YoY, partly reflecting deferred purchases after GST 2.0 reforms. Maruti entered October with a 2.5 lakh vehicle backlog, with supply chain and production teams working overtime to meet surging demand. Customers delaying bookings may face post-festive deliveries. Exports surged 50% YoY last month, including 3,000 EV units shipped to markets such as Japan, the Middle East, and Europe (Norway, Denmark, Belgium, Switzerland). The company may revisit its 4 lakh annual export target, balancing overseas and domestic demand. Rural markets contributed 51% of September sales, marginally outpacing urban demand (49%). Upgradation trends are strong, with two-wheeler owners moving to entry-level cars and existing customers upgrading to premium models like Baleno, Fronx, and Brezza. Market expert Mayuresh Joshi remains bullish, projecting 12–13% revenue growth and 14–15% earnings growth, calling the stock “very attractive.” Stock check: Maruti Suzuki traded at ₹15,842, down 0.77% on Friday. The stock is up 41.3% YTD, sharply outperforming the Nifty 50’s 4.5% rise. #MarutiSuzuki #NavratriSales #FestiveDemand #AutoSector #StockMarket #EVExports #IndiaAuto
