Mazagon Dock Makes First Overseas Deal, Buys Stake in Colombo Dockyard for ₹452 Crore

Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL) is buying a big part of Colombo Dockyard PLC (CDPLC) in Sri Lanka for about ₹452 crore. This is MDL’s first international purchase. The deal will help MDL grow in the shipbuilding and repair business, improve research, and reach more markets. The deal should be done in 4 to 6 months.
