Network18 Shares Jump 12% After Strong Q1 Profit Despite Ad Slowdown

Network18 shares rose 12% on July 16 after the company posted a strong Q1 result, supported by its digital and TV businesses. Net profit was ₹516 crore, and EBITDA jumped 69%. Operating margin improved to 1% from 0.5% last year. Though overall revenue was slightly down due to fewer election ads and weak consumer demand, the company still showed strong performance. Compared to Q1 of last year (excluding election ads), revenue grew 9%.
