TCS to Acquire AI & Salesforce Consulting Firm Coastal Cloud in $700 Million All-Cash Deal
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) announced on December 10 that it will acquire AI and Salesforce advisory firm Coastal Cloud in a $700 million all-cash transaction, expected to close by January 31, 2026. According to TCS’ stock exchange filings, Coastal Cloud’s enterprise value includes both upfront and deferred payments, excluding standard adjustments for net debt and working capital. Coastal Cloud, a Salesforce Summit Partner and a Salesforce Ventures portfolio company, delivers consulting, implementation, and managed services across multiple Salesforce Clouds — including Service, Sales, Marketing, Revenue & CPQ, Commerce, and more. The firm also brings advanced data and AI expertise, integrating platforms like Agentforce, Salesforce Data Cloud, Snowflake, Mulesoft, and Tableau. Why the Acquisition Matters: Founded in 2012, Coastal Cloud is among the largest pure-play Salesforce partners in the US with strong advisory capability, deep mid-market presence, and robust profitability. TCS gains expanded Salesforce talent, a stronger US workforce footprint amid visa uncertainties, and enhanced multi-cloud + AI integration capabilities. Leadership Speaks: Aarthi Subramanian, COO, TCS, called the acquisition a “pivotal milestone” in scaling global Salesforce capabilities and advancing TCS’ vision of becoming the world’s largest AI-led tech services company. Eric Berridge, CEO, Coastal Cloud, said joining TCS will enhance their ability to deliver deeper, faster, and more scalable transformation solutions to clients. TCS reaffirmed that it will continue pursuing strategic M&A aligned with its priorities in AI, Cloud, Cybersecurity, Digital Engineering, and Enterprise Solutions, following its roadmap outlined in the Q2 earnings call. 🔖 Hashtags: #TCS #CoastalCloud #Salesforce #AIDeals #TechNews #Acquisition #DigitalTransformation #CloudServices #Top5SalesforcePartner #BusinessNews #ITIndustry
