HCL Technologies Jumps 4% on $1.14 Billion AI Deal
HCLTech surged 4.5% to ₹1,126.50 Nifty's top gainer after announcing a $1.14 billion AI deal with a Fortune Global 50 European company. The deal runs July 2026 to December 2031 with a five year extension option giving HCLTech nearly guaranteed revenue through FY32.
HCLTech will build and manage an AI-driven digital workplace for the client entirely new business not a renewal. After Accenture's guidance cut crashed IT stocks, this $1.14 billion commitment from a Fortune Global 50 company confirms the opposite global enterprises are actively spending on AI transformation with Indian IT companies.
$1.14 billion over 5.5 years ~$207 million annually. More importantly it validates HCLTech's AI capabilities potentially attracting more similar large deals from global clients.
