Power exchanges, generators, and transmission firms remain relevant as summer electricity demand stays elevated. India’s electricity demand stayed strong in April due to rising temperatures, but spot power prices on exchanges increased only marginally to around ₹5.26/unit, indicating relatively balanced supply availability. Investors generally track power demand, exchange volumes, and pricing trends to assess operational visibility across generation, transmission, and power-trading ecosystems. Average spot power price reportedly rose about 1% in April. Stable pricing despite high demand may indicate improving supply management and grid resilience in the power sector.
