1) Nuclear energy
PM Modi emphasised India’s commitment to clean energy and self-reliance, stating, “India is now focusing actively on nuclear energy. We have taken significant steps in this direction, with 10 new nuclear reactors currently operational. By the time India celebrates 100 years of independence, we aim to increase our nuclear energy capacity tenfold.”

Promising a “Diwali gift” to the nation, PM Modi said, “I am going to give a great gift on Diwali. In the last eight years, we carried out a major reform in GST and simplified the tax system. Now it is the demand of the time to review it.

In a major announcement for the nation’s youth, PM Modi stated, “I have good news for the youth of our country. Today, on the 15th of August, we are launching a landmark scheme worth ₹1 lakh crore, the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rojgar Yojana.

PM Modi highlighted the missed opportunities in the past, stating, “Fifty to sixty years ago, we began talking about semiconductor factories. But files were stuck, decisions suspended.... We lost fifty to sixty years.” He then announced India’s new direction, declaring, “By the end of this year, ‘Made in India’ semiconductor chips—made by the people in India—will hit the market.”
