2) Shares of Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA) will be in focus on Friday after the company reported a 36% year-on-year decline in standalone net profit to Rs 247 crore for Q1FY26, compared to Rs 384 crore in the same quarter last year.
3) Sequentially, net profit fell 51% from Rs 502 crore reported in Q4FY25. Revenue saw a marginal 2.6% rise from Rs 1,861 crore in the previous quarter. The decline in profit was largely due to a sharp increase in expenses, which rose 60% YoY to Rs 1,655 crore in Q1FY26, up from Rs 1,035 crore. The rise in costs was driven by finance charges, exchange losses, and employee benefit expenses.
