1) IT Major Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) announced its Q1 results 2025 today, July 10. TCS posted a rise in Q1 profit of 6% YoY to ₹12,760 crore. However, its revenue grew just 1.3% YoY to ₹63,437 crore during the quarter under review. On a QoQ basis, PAT saw a growth while revenue dipped.
2) TCS Q1 Attrition
IT services’ attrition was at 13.8% for the last twelve months, higher than 13.3% seen in the March 2025 quarter. TCS’ workforce stood at 613,069 as of June 30, 2025, with net headcount addition of 6,071 YoY.
3) TCS Deal Wins
The company CEO K Krithivasan said TCS saw robust deal closures during this quarter. The Q1 Total Contract Value (TCV) came in at $9.4 billion.
4) “Our long term is goal to reach 26-28% in operating margins. Given uncertainity we have been investing in a few things like capturing demand,” Samir Seksaria, Chief Financial Officer, said.
5) International revenue is expected to be better than in FY26 than in FY25. It's based on the order book and customer conversation, says the CEO. What we see as a bottleneck is the lack of clarity in the market, and after that, the spend should come back, he added
