Alldigi Technologies: High Yield, Hidden Risk?

ALLDIGI
Alldigi Tech is drawing attention for an unusual combination: high returns on capital, modest leverage and a large dividend. For shareholders, this can be attractive, but the real question is whether the payout is backed by durable business growth. The company, formerly Allsec Technologies, operates in business-process services, including customer experience, HR and payroll solutions. It serves clients across India, the Philippines and the US, with backing from Digitide and Fairfax. The numbers are encouraging. Over five years, revenue increased from ₹277 crore in FY21 to ₹599 crore in FY26, a CAGR of about 17%. EBITDA rose from ₹66 crore to ₹162 crore, while net profit increased from ₹35 crore to ₹82 crore. Operating cash flow also more than doubled, from ₹70 crore to ₹144 crore. Capital efficiency is another attraction. ROCE is around 30%, well above the industry median of roughly 13%, while ROE is about 35%. Borrowings of ₹82 crore against reserves of ₹232 crore indicate manageable leverage. The dividend is the biggest attraction. Alldigi has declared ₹30 per share twice during FY26, taking the recent payout to ₹60. At prices cited in the article, this translated into a dividend yield of about 7.4%. However, investors should not treat the yield as free money. Working-capital days rose sharply from 12 to 51 in FY26, while dependence on global outsourcing demand could create uncertainty. A high payout can also limit funds available for reinvestment. For shareholders, Alldigi looks interesting because cash generation, high ROCE and dividends provide a strong value proposition. Future returns will depend on maintaining growth and converting profits into cash. The stock may be attractive at a reasonable valuation, but the dividend alone should not drive the investment thesis.
