Aptus Value Housing Finance: DII Bets Signal Growth Potential

Aptus Value Housing Finance India Ltd. saw a notable jump in DII interest in Q2FY26, with institutional investors boosting their stake by nearly 10 percentage points, reaching 25.87%. This move highlights strong confidence in the company’s business model and future prospects, especially during a period when FIIs have been wary.

APTUS
s specializes in offering housing loans and business loans secured against property, focusing on lower- and middle-income segments and prioritizing first-time home buyers. The company’s asset-light approach avoids exposure to builder loans, reducing credit risk and ensuring a more stable portfolio. In terms of performance, the company delivered robust growth. Its Assets Under Management (AUM) rose 22% YoY to ₹11,767 crore, while net profit swelled 24% to ₹227 crore. Revenue jumped by over 29%, driven by expanding branch network to 321 locations and an 18% increase in customer base. However, asset quality saw a minor dip, with GNPA rising to 1.55% and NNPA up to 1.17%, but these levels remain manageable for the segment. Valuation-wise, Aptus trades at a PE of 17x, just below the industry median, suggesting fair pricing relative to peers. With management aiming for an AUM of ₹25,000 crore in the medium term and expanding into new geographies, growth momentum looks solid. From a shareholder perspective, the DII buying spree and healthy operational numbers are clearly positive. Expanding reach, rising profits, and focused risk control support long-term value creation, though investors should watch asset quality trends. Overall, the outlook remains favorable for shareholders as institutional conviction and business fundamentals align to fuel further growth.
