TCS
Netweb's Q1 FY27 was exceptional: revenue reached ₹819.7 crore, up 172% YoY, while PAT jumped 180% to ₹85.3 crore. The AI Systems business alone contributed ₹510.6 crore, up more than 484% YoY, and accounted for about 62% of revenue.
The company had an order book of around ₹2,507 crore, another ₹848 crore of L1 orders, and a large pipeline. Management indicated that roughly 40–45% of the order book is linked to AI, making Netweb a direct beneficiary of India's AI infrastructure build-out.
The risk is that such explosive growth creates very high expectations. Netweb is also much smaller than TCS, has greater working-capital requirements and is exposed to expensive GPUs, memory and other imported components. Recent Nvidia-related server price increases could put pressure on AI-infrastructure economics.
🏦 TCS — slower growth but much stronger stability
TCS is growing much more slowly, but the quality and predictability of the business are substantially higher. Q1 FY27 revenue was ₹72,275 crore, up 13.9% YoY, while PAT rose 4.6% to ₹13,349 crore. Operating margin was 24%. Its AI revenue run-rate reached $2.6 billion, up 13.6% QoQ, and Q1 TCV was $9.5 billion.#FundamentalViews
