Raymond Ltd. is showing a very sharp move today

RAYMOND
Raymond Ltd. is showing a very sharp move today, but one clarification: the latest market data I can verify shows it around ₹853–₹859, roughly 5–6% higher today, rather than a fresh 20% one-day gain. The stock has nevertheless been extremely volatile over the last few sessions. Why Raymond is moving sharply 1. Post-demerger re-rating is the biggest structural reason. Raymond is now a pure-play aerospace, defence, precision technology and auto-components company, after the lifestyle and real-estate businesses were separated. This makes the business much easier for investors to value and has triggered significant buying interest. 2. Aerospace & defence is becoming a major growth engine. Q1 FY27 aerospace & defence revenue was about ₹123 crore, up 40.4% YoY, and the company has been receiving new orders, including specialised onboard storage systems and precision components for defence customers. 3. Strong long-term sector theme. Raymond is expanding its precision-engineering business into aerospace manufacturing, which gives it exposure to India's growing defence and aerospace supply chain. This is attracting investors because the business has higher entry barriers than traditional textiles. 4. Brokerage optimism is helping sentiment. Jefferies has turned bullish on the broader Indian textile/engineering opportunity and Raymond Lifestyle, citing China+1 and improving India's export competitiveness. This positive sentiment around the Raymond group is also supporting interest in Raymond-related stocks.
