South Indian Bank is a good example of base formation

SOUTHBANK
South Indian Bank is a good example of base formation followed by a strong bullish breakout. The stock initially consolidated for several months in the ₹28–31 range, indicating that selling pressure was gradually getting absorbed and buyers were accumulating near the ₹28–29 support zone. The upward-sloping trendline provided dynamic support, and repeated price reactions around this area strengthened the base formation. In October, the stock broke above the ₹30–32 resistance zone with strong bullish candles, followed by a sharp rally towards ₹38–40, suggesting increased buying momentum and a potential change in market sentiment. After this sharp move, the stock entered consolidation near ₹38–40, where this zone may act as resistance and ₹37–38 as near-term support. If the price sustains above the breakout zone and buying volume remains healthy, further upside may be possible; however, a breakdown below support could lead to a deeper pullback. The key lesson is that a long consolidation base, followed by a decisive breakout with strong volume, can signal the beginning of a powerful upward move, although confirmation and risk management remain essential.
