Spinning Bottom

ICICIBANK
A spinning bottom candlestick pattern is a variation of the spinning top that appears after a downtrend and signals potential reversal or indecision at the bottom. It has a small real body (either green or red) positioned near the lower end of the trading range, with long upper and lower shadows, indicating that buyers and sellers both tried to control the market but neither could dominate. The small body shows that opening and closing prices were close, reflecting market hesitation, while the long wicks suggest volatility and attempts from both sides. When found after a prolonged downtrend, the spinning bottom often hints at weakening bearish momentum and the possibility of a bullish reversal, especially if followed by a strong green confirmation candle.
