EV Park being set up in Uttar Pradesh

The Uttar Pradesh government is planning to establish a ₹700 crore Electric Vehicle (EV) Park in Kanpur, strategically located near the Dedicated Freight Corridor to tap into the country’s rising EV demand. Spanning 500 acres, the project will be developed through a public-private partnership and will be managed by the UP State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA) under the Kanpur Metropolitan Development Vision 2030. The park will feature: An R&D centre to foster innovation and product development A boost to local employment and supply chain development Promotion of 'Make in UP' and 'Made in UP' initiatives Manufacturing activities will cover: Electric motors, chassis, steel parts Lithium-ion cells and components Battery packs, controllers, and electronics
