ICICIAMC
Q1: Robust 25.5% Profit Surge Amid Rising Assets

ICICIAMC
delivered a robust financial performance for the June quarter, with net profit surging 25.5% year-on-year to Rs 965 crore. This was supported by a 20.2% expansion in total income to Rs 1,745 crore and a 17.6% rise in operational revenue to Rs 1,564 crore. Significant Asset Expansion: The fund house experienced healthy expansion in its investment pool, as quarterly average assets under management (QAAUM) climbed 18.3% year-on-year to Rs 11.17 lakh crore. Active mutual fund QAAUM also increased by 15.1% to Rs 9.25 lakh crore, while equity-oriented assets reached Rs 6.31 lakh crore. Sustained Retail Participation via SIPs: Investor commitment remained highly resilient, evidenced by a notable increase in systematic transactions. Monthly SIP inflows rose to Rs 4,872 crore in June compared to Rs 4,245 crore in the same period last year, demonstrating strong, recurring retail investor participation. Dominant Market Share & Growing Client Base: The firm defended its strong industry positioning, retaining the largest market share of 13.5% in active mutual fund QAAUM and the second-largest share of 13.4% in total QAAUM. Its customer base grew by 15.1% year-on-year, expanding its reach to over 1.73 crore investors. Escalating Costs Temper Earnings: Despite impressive top-line metrics, an increase in operating expenses limited bottom-line upside. Total expenses ticked up to Rs 464 crore, driven primarily by an 11% jump in employee benefit expenses to Rs 204 crore, which brokerages flagged as the primary driver behind the slight earnings miss.
