Bharti Airtel Q1 Profit Rises 37% on Strong Revenue Growth and Higher ARPU

reported a strong performance for the first quarter of FY27, with consolidated net profit rising 37% year-on-year to ₹8,167 crore. Revenue from operations increased 18.4% to ₹58,539 crore, crossing the ₹58,500 crore mark for the first time, driven by sustained growth in its India mobile, broadband, enterprise, and Africa businesses.
The company's Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) improved to ₹264 from ₹250 a year ago, supported by premium customer additions and higher data usage. Airtel also recorded healthy growth in its customer base, with continued expansion in 4G and 5G subscribers, while its Africa operations delivered strong revenue growth. The company maintained robust operating performance, aided by higher digital adoption, increased smartphone penetration, and continued investments in network infrastructure.
