reported a record performance for the first quarter of FY27, with consolidated net profit surging 75% year-on-year to ₹7,013 crore from ₹4,004 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Total income increased 32% to ₹85,882 crore, driven by strong growth across its aluminium and copper businesses, along with improved performance at its subsidiary, Novelis. The company delivered its highest-ever quarterly profit and sales, supported by robust demand, higher aluminium prices, and improved operational efficiencies. Growth was broad-based across its India aluminium and copper operations, while Novelis reported a strong recovery, contributing significantly to consolidated earnings. The company also recorded improved operating margins during the quarter, reflecting better product mix, higher realizations, and disciplined cost management. Management stated that it will continue focusing on executing its ongoing expansion projects to support future growth.
